Do you want to be independent, self-reliant, and exercise your rights for as long as possible? Good regular foot care can make a large contribution to your entire well being. Start walking with comfort. Your feet don't HAVE to hurt. If you suffer from foot discomfort, knee pain, hip pain or lower back problems, come and get your feet checked out. They are frequently at the root of the problem. Pedicare Nursing Service was established in 1983 to meet the need for foot care in the community. Since then it has grown by leaps and bounds and now services over 400 patients in homes, nursing homes, homes for the aged and in hospital. Pedicare Nursing Service is a provider for DVA and is also covered by many other extended health care insurance plans. All our nursing care givers are currently registered with the College of Nurses and have received special training to do nursing foot care. They are all experienced and well skilled to deal with many foot care problems. Corns, calluses, ingrown nails, thick nails, hammer toe pain and fungus infections are some of the problems our nurses can help relieve. Foot soaks and soothing massages are included in our care. Referrals and other recommendations for care are given where indicated. Advice is available for special foot wear needs, orthotic appliances, wart treatments etc. If you have diabetes, arthritis or poor circulation, you need foot care more than the average person. An ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure.
Pedicare Nursing Service receives referrals from many local physicians, nurses and other community resources. Self-referrals are welcomed.
